This site (the "Site") is owned and operated by TheGlasgowStory consortium, (with monies from the New Opportunities Fund) for your personal entertainment, information, education, and communication. TheGlasgowStory is not related to or affiliated with any other websites or networks.

Please feel free to browse the Site; however, your access and use of the Site is subject to the following terms and conditions ("Terms and Conditions") and all applicable laws. By accessing and browsing the Site, you accept, without limitation or qualification, the Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with any of the below Terms and Conditions, do not use the Site. TheGlasgowStory reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to modify, alter, or otherwise update these Terms and Conditions at any time and you agree to be bound by such modifications, alterations, or updates.

Trademarks, Copyrights, and Restrictions

All material on this Site, including but not limited to images and illustrations, is protected by copyrights that are owned and controlled by TheGlasgowStory or by other parties that have licensed their material to TheGlasgowStory ("Material"). Material from the Site or any Web site owned, operated, licensed, or controlled by TheGlasgowStory may not be copied, reproduced, republished, uploaded, posted, transmitted, or distributed in any way. Specifically, you may not link directly to TheGlasgowStory's .jpg or .gif files, and you should not attempt to "pass off" any of the Material as your own work. Modification of the Materials or use of the Materials for any other purpose is a violation of the copyrights and other proprietary rights. For purposes of these Terms and Conditions, the use of any such material on any other Web site or networked computer environment is prohibited.

Copyright of Images

The copyright of individual images on this site belongs to the copyright holder indicated at the foot of each image.  The permission of the copyright holder must be sought for any use of images other than for educational or personal study reasons.  Copies can be obtained from the copyright holder.

If  there is no copyright holder mentioned then advice should be sought from TheGlasgowStory through the editor at the email address editor@theglasgowstory.com.

Jurisdiction

The Site is controlled and operated by TheGlasgowStory Consortium, which is based in The University of Glasgow, Scotland. TheGlasgowStory makes no representation that Materials in the Site are appropriate or available for use in other locations. Those who choose to access this Site from other locations do so on their own initiative and are responsible for compliance with local laws, if and to the extent local laws are applicable.

This Agreement will terminate immediately and without notice from TheGlasgowStory if in TheGlasgowStory's sole discretion you fail to comply with any term or provision of this Agreement. Upon termination, you must destroy all materials obtained from this Site and all copies thereof, whether made under the terms of this Agreement or otherwise. In the event of termination, you are no longer authorized to access the Site.

Other

If any provision of this Agreement shall be unlawful, void, or for any reason unenforceable, then that provision shall be deemed severable from this Agreement and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of any remaining provisions. This is the entire Agreement between the parties relating to the matters contained herein.
