Lady Gardiner

Lady Elizabeth Morton Gardiner painted in 1914 by Sir James Guthrie (1859-1930).

Elizabeth was the daughter of William Ritchie, a wholesale stationer. She married the shipping magnate Frederick Gardiner on 15 September 1887. Lady Gardiner was buried alongside her husband in the Necropolis.
