Edmund Law Lushington (1811-1893) was Professor of Greek at the University of Glasgow, 1838-1875, and Rector 1884-1887.
Lushington was educated at Charterhouse and Trinity College Cambridge. In 1842 he married Cecilia, sister of Lord Tennyson.
