A Thomas Annan photograph of a portrait of John Guthrie of Carbeth (1768-1834). The original painting was by Sir Henry Raeburn.

Guthrie was a West Indies merchant who served as a city magistrate 1810-1811. He was Dean of Guild in 1814 and 1815.
