Gairbraid Public School

Children exercising in Gairbraid Public School hall in Maryhill 1916.

This hall is unusual in Glasgow in that it appears to have been built on the first rather than the ground floor of the school. However, Gairbraid School was built for the Maryhill rather than the Glasgow School Board, and the architect (T L Watson) had to contend with a steep west-to-east slope on the site.
