An advertisement from the Post Office Glasgow directory of 1854-1855 for William Forbes, a jeweller and optician in Buchanan Street. Forbes stocked lenses manufactured by S P Cohen, an optical and scientific instrument maker who served as a president of the Glasgow Hebrew Congregation.
