An advertisement for The Natal Colonization and Emigration Company which appeared in the Post Office Glasgow directory of 1850-1851. The coastal colony of Natal was annexed by Britain in 1842 and in 1856 it became a Crown Colony. It became a province of South Africa in 1910.
