The courtyard of the Anderston Brewery, 1819.
The brewery was founded by Murdoch, Warroch & Co c 1762. It was the first brewery in Glasgow to begin brewing porter (in 1775), and Glasgow porter became very popular throughout Scotland and in Ireland.
