Gig on the Green

Gig on the Green.

Glasgow's first Gig on the Green took place in August 2000. The organisers were Mean Fiddler (the organisation behind music festivals such as the Reading Festival and the Fleadh) and Regular Music. In 2003 the name of the event changed to Big Day Out at the Green, but the event remained as popular as ever, attracting big name acts such as the Red Hot Chilli Peppers, P J Harvey and Queens of the Stone Age.
