Shettleston Juniors FC

A football match in progress at Greenfield Park, home of Shettleston Juniors FC, in 1986. The ground has a capacity of 7,000, but no seating.

Shettleston Football and Athletic Club was founded in 1903, originally playing in the Glasgow Junior League at Well Park. The move to Greenfield Park came in 1933, after Well Park was bought for housing. Although the club has never held the Scottish Junior Cup, it has won numerous trophies including the Central A League in 1959-1960 and 1976-1977 and the West of Scotland Cup in 1974-1975, 1992-1993 and 1994-1995.

Shettleston's best-known former player is Tommy Docherty, who went on to play for Celtic, Preston North End, Arsenal and Scotland before embarking on a career as a football manager in which, he claims, he had "more clubs than Jack Nicklaus".

Since 2000 Greenfield Park has also been the home of Shettleston Juniors LFC, who play in the elite Scottish Women's Premier League.
