A photograph by Duncan Brown of two men, one said to be an MP called George Alexander, in front of Brash's Cooperage, 1855. The cooperage stood on the corner of Maxwell Street and Dunlop Street, near the site on which St Enoch Station was built in the 1870s.
Duncan Brown (1819-1897) was a talented amateur photographer whose work documents aspects of Glasgow life from the 1850s until the 1890s.
