A view looking north from inside what had been Arbuckle, Smith & Co's bonded warehouse in Cheapside Street, 1960. This photograph was taken during the clearing of the site. It shows the steel girders of the building had been bent and twisted by the intense heat of the blaze, fuelled by a million gallons of whisky and other spirits that had been stored in the warehouse.
