Bowling green accessories made at the Richmond Street works of the firm of Thomas Taylor, bowling green bowls manufacturers, illustrated in their 1937 trade catalogue.
Known since 1796 as a leading manufacturer of lawn bowls, Thomas Taylor also supplied accessories and miscellaneous items connected with the game of bowls. In addition to the callipers and markers shown here, the catalogue lists requisites such as crown bowls, carpet bowls, jacks, bowl stands, measuring pegs, string nets, bowl cases, mats and scorecards. An engraving service was provided for inscriptions on bowls and bowl stands.
