Western Infirmary

The Glasgow Western Infirmary as it would have appeared on the eve of the First World War and during the 1920s.

The Infirmary was built to Sir John Burnet's heavy Baronial design in 1871-1874, with extensions in 1881. New operating theatres were added in 1913.
